Interim Minister - the Reverend Lois Wolff The Rev. Lois Wolff’s first Sunday with us was Epiphany Sunday, January 4, 2009. Lois is ordained in the Presbyterian Church-USA and has extensive experience in interim ministry. She has served many churches within the Albany Presbytery so she is very familiar with Albany and the Capital Region. She shares her Lake Lazerne home with her two cats. She enjoys traditional music and is learning to play the lap dulcimer. For almost 10 years, she has volunteered on the crew at the Old Songs Festival in Altamont.
On Sunday, July 25, 2010, we will be saying goodbye to Lois, who has walked with us on our journey through this interim time. With Lois' influence, presence and spirit, we’ve continued our many ministries and missions, celebrated our 175th anniversary, and grown in some new directions. Lois’ last Sunday in Emmanuel’s pulpit will be on July 25, and we will have a “picnic on the grounds” celebrating her time with us after church on that day.
Pastoral Search Process Emmanuel has spent nearly two years in a pastoral search process for a full-time Settled Pastor. This has been both a challenging and exciting time in the life of this congregation as we give thanks for the ministry that is yet before us in God's future.

In June, the pulpit committee issued a call to the Rev. Kathy Donley of Bloomington Indiana. The Rev. Kathy J. Donley comes from Indiana where she has served as associate, interim and solo pastor at various churches. Kathy’s call was unanimously approved, by paper ballot, by the congregation on Sunday June 13, following the worship service she led. Many in the congregation also took the opportunity to meet Kathy and her family at a supper the previous evening. Kathy Donley’s first Sunday at Emmanuel will be August 15. A service of installation will be held in the fall. |

| Dorothy is the first voice you hear on the phone or face you see at the door during office hours. Her warmth and caring set the tone for us. When not here at Emmanuel, she is a gourmet cook whose soups are to die for... |

If music comes from the soul, then Michael is one soulful person. When he isn't getting an amazing sound out of our choir, he is accompanying opera singers. | |
| Sometimes it seems as if Jim is always at the church building - cleaning, setting up chairs, taking down tables... but he does have a favorite task. If Jim is smiling, you can bet that a paintbrush is nearby. | ||
