Kelley Gourley, PhD, is the Director of Operations at Refugee & Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus (RISSE).  She also works with the Capital District Sanctuary Coalition to serve families of those in immigrant detention and/or deportation proceedings.  In this dinner-church style event, she will present information about the hospitality needs of immigrants in our community and invite discussion about what Emmanuel’s contribution might be.

Your participation is an integral part of the experiment. You are invited to contribute in any and all of the following ways:

• Be fully present and ready to listen and share your own thoughts. Dinner Church is an in-person only experience. There will not be a Zoom option on those Sundays.

• Sign up in advance to help with meal preparation or serve as a table facilitator.

• Come early to help with last minute meal tasks, like filling water pitchers or distributing napkins.

• Stick around to help clean-up.

• Offer evaluative feedback about each week’s experience. Instructions for this will be provided.
